Facilities Manager

Responsibilities

  • Manages and directs services such as reception, security guards, maintenance, safety, concessionaire, and company driver
  • Responsible in the maintenance and monitoring of the facilities, equipment and infrastructure of the company
  • Complies with both international and local safety standards
  • Conducts researching and implementing best practices to ensure the smooth operations and safety of the employees, stakeholders and clients  
  • Participates in the infrastructure design, will recommend repairs and replacement of equipment, furniture and facility. Trouble shooting some minor technical / facility problems
  • Responsible for facilities inspections and reports
  • Manages and prepares capital and operating budget (OPEX and CAPEX) and other variance reports
  • Provides supervision to individual employees within the single functional or operational area
  • Prepares and delivers performance appraisal to the direct report
  • Formulate, Plan and Implement cost saving measures on utilities consumption/cost
  • Ensure all safety procedures, including crisis management/business continuity and emergency procedures are maintained at all times
  • Act as project coordinator for all size projects including large scale repair and new facility construction projects
    Other tasks/functions that may be assigned by the company based on business requirement

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree (any field) or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 4 years related work experience in a supervisory/ managerial capacity is required
  • Exposure in a BPO/KPO or similar industry highly preferred
  • Experience in the high tech industry, preferably in IT, telco, or Data Centers
  • Track record in building a high performing team
  • Knowledgeable in Occupational Safety and Health and Environmental regulations
  • Knowledgeable in building code compliance, facilities and permits
  • Excellent CAPEX/OPEX and stakeholder management 

Knowledge

  • Ability to prioritize projects, assign resources, establish schedules, and manage to meet deadlines and expectations
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective and efficient financial reporting procedures and systems for the company
  • Ability to effectively interact and work with the company’s external auditors, building management in all its facilities related concerns

Skills

  • Strong leadership skills; effective decision maker
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to direct and work with others
  • Strong technical skills in IFRS, UKGAAP and London Stock exchange, combined with good business sense and understanding of key business issues and drivers
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must possess effective organizational skills and time management skills

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (graveyard/shifting schedule)
