Job Summary:

The Service NPI Project Manager will work directly with the WW Service NPI Program Manager to ensure each assigned program is ready for service success. This role will be a part of the global Service Enablement Engineering team and be key to growing the impact of the service organization. The employee in this role will have opportunities to understand the product development lifecycle (PPDL), collaborate with numerous departments within Lexmark, and contribute to the success of the global service organization.

Job Details:

Working directly with the WW Service NPI Program Manager, the Service NPI Project Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Understand the key checkpoints, milestones, and gates within the Lexmark PPDL process and how the service organization is involved in each one.
  • As schedule permits, attend program CFTs to understand overall program status and how service might be affected.
  • Understand and track all required standard work tasks for each assigned program. The assigned tasks for each program will be available in a project management tool.
  • Collaborate with each area assigned a task or work item to ensure all tasks are on track. As needed, escalate to the WW Service NPI Program Manager.
  • Work with the Global Service NPI Program Manager to provide monthly updates to the broader service organization and service management.
  • Be empowered to drive continual improvement into the service NPI process.
  • The position could grow to the point of leading smaller service NPI projects.

Job Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or project management field
  • Minimum of 3 years experience directly related to project management
  • Highly organized with a demonstrated ability to track progress, drive actions, and communicate requirement as well as progress reports
  • Collaboration skills along with the ability to negotiate required timelines among competing priorities
  • Self-motivated and empowered to complete assignments or seek help when needed
  • Proficient with basic office applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Microsoft Sharepoint, Sharepoint Lists, and Microsoft Project is preferred but not required. In absence of experience with these tools, a demonstrated ability to learn and use similar project management tools is required.
  • PMP certification preferred but not required
  • Experience developing or introducing a new product is preferred but not required
  • Ability to work second shift to maximize the time to actively collaborate with global team and co-workers
