The purpose of this role is to ensure that stringent standards are met in the products that are shipped to customers, through the implementation of quality assurance processes and high repair standards.
- Defining, implementing, and analyzing Quality Performance, Quality Assurance Process and Process Engineering, and ensure that product standards and compliance are consistently met
- Developing and maintaining product specifications and triage criteria for our mobile device and consumer electronic protection programs in APAC
- Developing and implementing corrective actions, solutions & improvements.
- Providing advice and technical support in assessing products condition and reparability and SLAs from Approved Service Providers on service quality
Engineering
- Create and update Technical Data Sheet (TDS) and define parts acceptance criteria in consultation with stakeholders.
- Review parts under qualification for compliance against acceptance criteria
- Conduct serial configuration and validation per product specification
- Conduct Bill of Materials review and support the Process Engineering in defining the yield and parts’ source.
Quality Standards and Control
- Ensure proper use of quality tools and Quality Management System across the region.
- Evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements, aligned to OEM standards.
- Determine quality metrics for all remanufacturing and quality assurance procedures.
- Provide training and support to Quality Assurance /Technical team on systems, policies, procedures, and core processes
- Identify root causes of reported technical issues and recommend fixes.
- Responsible for internal and external (service partners) quality audits and reviews.
Quality Performance Analysis
- Track regional quality objectives against performance standards and customer experience and identify improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering.
- At least 4 years’ experience in the application of basic engineering concepts and techniques to operations
- At least 3 years’ experience in consumer electronic products and/or mobility devices including New Product Introduction and Bill of Materials creation
- Knowledge on Product Quality Planning (APQP) preferably in Control Plan and Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA).
- Knowledge of quality standards, such as, ISO, IMS, and EMS.
- Knowledge on the use of statistical tools and other continuous improvement methodologies such as but not limited to process capability, fault diagnostics/analysis, reliability test etc.
- Good organizational, analytical and creative skills
- Knowledge of problem solving skills using tools such as PDCA, DMAIC, 8D, 7QC Tools would be useful
- Technical Writing and Presentation Skills
- Knowledge of Kinaxis/DAX would be an advantage
