Reporting under the Plant Manager, the Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Engineer (OSHE Engineer) shall oversee all Plant metrics and initiatives related to occupational safety, health and environment, as prescribed in pertinent laws, regulations, standards and company policies. The OSHE Engineer shall manage and report key performance indicators under the function, and provide action plans & strategies in maintaining and improving such metrics.

  1. Consolidate, manage, and synthesize data points and performance metrics related to occupational safety, health, and environment including, but not limited to, incident rates, loss time incidences, water and energy usage ratios, and regulatory compliances as prescribed by the Local Government Unit and executive agencies and branches including but not limited to Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).Ā 
  2. Create strategies and action plans relevant to occupational safety, health, and environment, and monitor implementation of such action plans; and coordinate such action plans to Department Heads and/or their authorized representatives.
  3. Champion behavioral-based safety, and conduct necessary and relevant training programs related to increasing awareness, continuous improvements, and enforcing policies related to occupational safety, health, and environment.
  4. Conduct investigations on violations and incidences related to occupational safety, health, and environment; and prepare reports within the prescribed timelines or as needed.
  5. Coordinate with Department Heads in implementing policies and internal memorandum related to occupational safety, health, and environment; and alignment with updates on implemented policies and standards related but not limited to EHS Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment, Good Manufacturing Practices, QMS, HACCP, and HALAL.
  6. Form part of the Internal Audit team and ensure compliance on, established management systems, including but not limited to, Good Manufacturing Practices, QMS, HACCP, HALAL.
  7. Manage allocation, disbursement, purchasing and liquidation of budget for programs related to occupational safety, health, and environment.
  8. Provide consultation, coaching and mentoring on items related to occupational safety, health, and environment.
  9. Represent the organization, as needed, in functional congregations, especially in liaising with Operational Governance and Sustainability Group, and other OSHE Engineers from different URC BCFG Plants;
  10. Represent the organization, as needed, in dialogues and partnership activities with the Local Government Units and other executive branches on items related to occupational safety, health, and environment.
  11. Manage, implement and lead execution of programs and processes for emergency preparedness, pollution control, disaster risk management, pandemic or epidemic business continuity plan, and other relevant function.
