Senior leader and a key member of the HR and engine SLT groups. Leads HR business partnering to support engine colleagues and operations globally.

Provides strategic business partnering to leaders, supporting the engine with advice and challenge, developing operational and people plans which support delivery of the business priorities.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leads business partner team within the engine, ensures the provision of strategic and data driven business partnering service, which equips the team to support a high-performance culture.
  • Provides a blend of challenge, support, and space to optimize performance of individuals and the team.Ā 
  • Drives engagement, advocacy and role satisfaction within the team, to build a high performing team.
  • Acts as the conscience of the engine, holding a mirror up to the business at all levels and challenging behaviors, ensuring there is constructive tension and push towards our values.
  • Accountable for O and P plans within the engine or regional hubs which is aligned to the engine/region strategy, which is colleague centric and aligns to the strategic priorities.
  • Applies business and client focused approach, demonstrating the commitment and resilience to deliver results that create business value.
  • Works closely with all COE’s within the people team, building trusted and effective partnerships, influencing key decisions impacting colleagues.
  • Leads on effective talent management for engine or regional hubs, ensuring a pipeline for succession into critical and leadership roles.
  • Business partners to client groups leading HR into business decision making and plans for the business unit(s).
  • Partners leaders on driving change, organizational development and risk analysis. Uses data and insights to improve business performance, specifically; absence, attrition, exit data, engagement, talent mobility and inclusion and diversity representation.
  • Partners leaders and the talent acquisition team to lead on strategic workforce planning and resource management.
  • Ensures organizational design is optimized, capitalizing on opportunities to transform ways of working and driving business performance by increasing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Works closely with the reward team, leading the annual reward review and alignment to the career framework for business unit(s).
  • Drives business unit leaders to lead on performance improvement and poor conduct through the disciplinary and grievance policy, seeking support from the employee relations team where appropriate.
  • Leads on career growth for employees through effective talent management and development, working closely with the talent, development and inclusion team.
  • Champions business leaders to lead on the implementation of effective engagement and retention plans, aligned to the Company purpose, values and behaviors.
  • Leads on HR projects, as required by the engine HR Lead or CPO.Ā 

You’ll also have:

  • Chartered CIPD or MCIPP (or equivalent).
  • Experience of taking ownership for respective HR service delivery of hubs, portfolio of BUs, or engine.
  • Experience working in a matrix structure.
  • Network widely both internally and externally to ensure up to date knowledge of the latest thinking in both business, mobility and people practices.
  • Acknowledged as an HR Leader, able to apply advanced level professional HR skills to solve problems without precedent or structure, and manage programs of activity that include the formulation of strategies.
  • A depth of understanding of the employee lifecycle, the diverse needs at specific stages and people policies, which is used to develop and deliver a people agenda and contribute at a strategic level.
  • Demonstrates expert professional skills and knowledge in: developing people plans and strategies, attracting, recruiting and onboarding talent. assessing and building capability, identifying, developing and managing talent., reward and recognition, managing change.Ā 
  • Demonstrates an advanced level of professional skills and knowledge in workforce planning, delivering the employee experience and building an inclusive culture, employment policy, regulation and law, and organizational design.
