Job Description:

The IT Security Analyst II is responsible for protecting the Microchip’s IT assets, and data against threats, such as security breaches, computer viruses, or attacks by cyber-criminals. The Analyst will monitor the organization’s networks for security breaches and investigate violations when they occur while also serving as a mentor and trainer to junior staff .

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelorā€™s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an information security role.
  • Certifications such as COMPTIA SEC+, CYSA+, or similar credentials are highly desirable. – Experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques.
  • Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them.
  • Skilled in incident response and handling and intrusion detection. – Proficient in preparing security reports and documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
